Much of what I write on this site is about balance, time-management, and seeing the bigger picture. Without those broad qualities in place, it’s incredibly difficult to reach any substantial goal (in my opinion!).

@Bob, I’ve seen it happen too. Excessive partying has got a lot to answer for. Not just study issues and dropping out, I’ve also seen strong friendships end off the back of too much partying (and alcohol). :-(

It’s sad to see many of my former high school students dropping out of college for that very reason: excessive partying.
